One late afternoon in the very early 80’s I woke up to a message being left on my answering machine, it was a voice saying “hey this is Michael Page, Iggy Pop’s bass player, I just bought a cool Iggy T-Shirt you made at a shop here in San Diego and they gave me your phone number, I thought maybe you would want to hang out, call me”. WTF, I was pretty hungover but that woke me up, I shook Marianne awake (she sleeps deep) and was like “listen to this message baby, Iggy Pop’s bass player wants to hang out, he liked the Iggy T-Shirt we made”. It was an awesome moment and when I can remember what happened next I will be writing about it…
